Curt Malyar has been training in Karate for over 40 years and wrestling for over 42 years.  He has coached over 40 Top-Ten Karate competitors and 2 national fighting champions.  With his wrestling expertise, he has coached 2 wrestling teams, has had several state wrestling qualifiers on both, and has trained with several All American martial artist, such as Bill "Superfoot" Wallace and Joe Lewis. Mr. Malyar currently holds a 7th degree Black Belt under Mr. Wallace and enjoys sharing his knowledge, experiences, and love for martial arts with all his students.

Andrew Joyner is an instructor for USA Karate.  He was raised in Johnson City and began training with Mr. Malyar at 8 years of age.  Mr. Joyner began teaching as a Junior Instructor in 1999. Today he is not only the manager of USA Karate but teaches and co-teaches all classes and age groups.  He currently holds a 4th degree Black Belt under Mr. Malyar, is certified under Bill "Superfoot" Wallace to teach the Superfoot system and has a 1st degree Black Belt under Mr. Wallace.

Dr. Jim Fox has trained with Mr. Malyar for over 25 years and he assists with the grappling and adult classes.  Dr. Fox is a professor at ETSU in the Special Education Dept. and stays very busy in that capacity, but continues his training and teaching with Mr. Malyar to fulfill his love of the martial arts. He currently holds a 5th degree Black Belt with Mr. Malyar and a 2nd degree Black Belt under "Superfoot" Wallace.
